The Final Publication

The final publication of the Survey will be published by Oxford University Press, in two volumes.

The first volume will consist of the following chapters:

• Introduction to Sphakia and the Sphakia Survey
• Sphakia: environment and vegetation
• Field methods and analyses
• Regional summaries
• Sphakia before people
• Prehistoric Sphakia
• Graeco-Roman Sphakia
• Byzantine, Venetian and Turkish Sphakia
• Pastoralism, bee-keeping and other economic activities in Sphakia
• Conclusions

Volume two will consist of the following chapters:

• Site and finds catalogue
• Fabric catalogue
• Plant list by region

The principal co-authors of volume one will be Lucia Nixon, Jennifer Moody, Simon Price and Oliver Rackham, with important contributions by Jane Francis and Pamela Armstrong. The principal co-authors of volume two will be Lucia Nixon, Jennifer Moody, Simon Price, and Jane Francis, with important contributions by Oliver Rackham, Harriet Lewis Robinson and Pamela Armstrong.
